Multiple Dock Sections
For docks that contain multiple sections, you can calculate each section individually using this calculator. You can then adjust the trim and clips required to connect these sections.
For dock sections that combine, where the joists continue in the same direction between sections:
- Replace the Clip Strip Start/Finish with the same number of Clip Strip Singles
- Subtract the width of the two connected sections' Perimeter Trim
- Replace it with T Strip Trim equal to the width of the connected section
For dock sections that combine where the joists are perpendicular or 90 degrees between sections, only subtract the width of the two connected sections' Perimeter Trim and replace it with T Strip Trim equal to the width of the connected section (no adjustment to Clip quantities is needed).
