What to know before starting

  • Acclimatize panels to room temperature for at least 24 hours before installation.
  • Panels are best cut with a blade designed to cut vinyl products or a fine-tooth blade installed in the reverse direction. Watch how →
  • Use tin snips to cut trim and avoid fully closing the blades while cutting for best results. Watch how →
  • Don’t overtighten screws to allow for expansion and contraction of panels and maintain a 1/4" clearance between the ends of each panel and any adjacent trims. Panels should be able to slide up and down slightly once fastened.
  • The final panel of a wall or ceiling area may need to be trimmed or ripped to fit. Watch how →
  • When installing Trusscore panels on the walls and ceiling of a project, we recommend starting with the ceiling first.

Step 1: Ceiling

Step 1A

Install the Universal Base for the Snap-In J Trim tight to the corner with the screw flange facing away from the wall. Fasten it to the ceiling.

Align the teeth of the Snap-In J Trim with the Universal Base and press them together. Use a Wall&CeilingBoard panel to confirm channel width. Position the first Wall&CeilingBoard panel with the screw flange facing away from the wall and fasten it at least every 24 inches.

Step 1B

Continue installing Wall&CeilingBoard panels across the ceiling.

If the ceiling is longer than 20 ft., join panels using Snap-In H Trim.

Step 1C

Insert the final panel into the previous one and push it tight to the ceiling.

Snap the Snap-In J Trim into the Universal Base to lock the panel in place, then finish snapping the remaining Snap-In J Trim onto the Base.

Step 2: Walls

Step 2A

Install the Universal Base for Snap-In J Trim along the top, bottom, and sides of one wall. Keep it tight to each corner with the screw flange facing away from the adjacent wall, ceiling, and floor, then fasten it. Repeat around doors, windows, and openings.

Step 2B

Measure and cut the first Wall&CeilingBoard panel. For vertical installs, start in one corner with the screw flange facing away from the wall. For horizontal installs, start at the bottom with the flange pointing up. Level the panel, then fasten it.

Step 2C

Install the remaining Wall&CeilingBoard panels, then snap the Snap-In J Trim onto each Universal Base to finish the first wall. Repeat these steps for each remaining wall.

Step 3: Integrating Trusscore SlatWall

Step 3A

If you're installing Trusscore SlatWall, plan ahead. Before mounting Wall&CeilingBoard, mark the SlatWall area.

SlatWall panels must start and end on studs. Install a Universal Base at each stud where a panel ends, keeping the screw flange flush with the stud so the teeth channel sits centered. Install a Universal Base along the top of the SlatWall area.

Step 3B

After marking and installing Wall&CeilingBoard, cut SlatWall panels to size and install from the bottom up. Rest the bottom lip on the Wall&CeilingBoard and fasten through the screw flange at each stud*. Place the next panel above it, align the ends, and press down until it snaps.

* SlatWall panels must be fastened to studs every 16 in. on-center minimum. Add blocking if studs are farther apart.

Step 3C

Once all SlatWall panels are installed, cut Snap-In H Trim to size and snap it into the Universal Base to cover seams and transition to Wall&CeilingBoard.

Finish by adding your favorite 3 in. SlatWall accessories and enjoy your upgraded, organized space.
