MR + MRS Post Frame
Paul and Emily Marshall, better known as MR + MRS Post Frame, are trusted voices in the barndominium world. After leaving Illinois and moving to Iowa in 2018, they set out to self-build their own post frame barndominium near the bridges of Madison County and began documenting the process online.
What started as a personal build quickly grew into a platform that inspires builders and DIYers alike. Through MR + MRS Post Frame and Back Forty Buildings, Paul and Emily now share practical construction insight, product expertise, and buildable barndominium plans with an audience of more than 1 million followers.
The Project
After selling their original barndominium, Paul and Emily moved into a suburban fixer-upper that will serve as a temporary home while they design and build their next dream project. As renovations began, one of the first priorities was transforming the garage into a dependable working space.
