Temporary Partition Walls

Durable & customizable partition and
hoarding walls

When it’s time to create a temporary construction wall for safety and dust control, to advertise vacant tenant spaces in shopping centers, or to create private zones like dressing rooms in retail facilities and suites in sports arenas, a modular wall system is a must have. No matter your needs,  Trusscore modular and freestanding solutions have you covered.

A PVC, Modular Alternative to Drywall and Plywood for Temporary Partition and Hoarding Walls

Traditional interior partition and construction hoarding walls are made from drywall and plywood, but traditional isn’t always best. Drywall in general is bad for the environment, and it’s even worse as a construction hoarding wall. When you no longer need a barricade, the drywall is torn down and disposed of in a landfill, where it decomposes to produce hydrogen sulfide gas and leachate chemicals like sulfates.

Drywall Barricade Waste
Barricade Size Barricade Dimensions Square Footage  Average Landfill Waste
Small 25’ x 12’ 300 900 lbs
Medium 40’ x 12’  480 1,400 lbs
Large 65’ x 12’  780 2,340 lbs

Installing a drywall partition is also a multi-day process that requires messy steps like mudding, taping, and painting. And if you plan to vinyl wrap it, you’ll need to add extra time for installation. Drywall has to be prepped, primed, and cleaned to ensure vinyl graphics adhere to it properly. Even then, the nature and surface texture of drywall can cause vinyl graphics to look cheap, peel off, and have poor adhesion.

Plywood enclosures are also single use just like drywall, meaning they’re also bad for the environment, and they’re a pain to wrap, too – for vinyl to be wrapped on unfinished wood, the wood needs to be sanded, coated in paint or a clear coat, and left to cure. At minimum, this is a 24-hour process.

Why Choose Trusscore for Your Construction Hoarding Wall Needs?

Strong & Durable

Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard and NorLock panels are scratch, dent, and damage resistant, meaning they can withstand repeated handling and installation. And when you’re dealing with long-term vacancies or permanent in-store structures like dressing rooms, the panels help you create partition walls that are built to last. Since drywall and plywood are prone to damage, they aren’t the best investment in high-traffic areas. Trusscore products, on the other hand, are high impact tested, meaning they can withstand anything you throw at them in a commercial setting.

Wrappable & Customizable

Trusscore products can be installed as is — meaning plain white or, if you’re installing Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard, in gray, too — or it can be completely wrapped in vinyl graphics that match your corporate branding or act as your very own billboard. Since the panels are pre-finished, graphics can be installed right away, so you won’t have to sand or coat the panels like you would with plywood. Plus, the removal of graphics and reuse of the panels is quick and easy. If you choose to pass on vinyl graphics, you can also keep your Trusscore panels looking their best — they can be easily cleaned with soap and water to take care of marks made from dirty hands during install or from people passing by.

Quick & Easy to Install

Installing a drywall partition wall or barricade is a multi-day process that requires messy steps like mudding and taping. Pre-finished and lightweight Trusscore panels go up without dust like drywall containing the job site from day one. Since the panels have an interlocking system, you can easily build a large-scale modular wall or freestanding commercial or construction barricade in no time. And in cases where you’re covering up a vacant tenant space, a partition built with Trusscore can be quickly disassembled before a grand opening while leaving no trace and easily transported to the next location — the same can’t be said about drywall.

Environmentally Friendly

Plywood and drywall are single use products that can’t be repurposed once your need for a partition wall is no more. Instead, they’ll end up in the landfill. In fact, a single large barricade (which averages around 780 square feet) made from drywall creates over 2300 pounds of landfill waste. Trusscore is designed to outlive the buildings it’s installed in and can be repeatedly taken apart and put back together, extending the length of its life. Panels are also made from PVC, which is a 100% recyclable material, and they can be recycled to make new PVC-based products.
